The Fabricast FV 150-MM is a metal seated knife gate valve featuring a cast stainless steel body, packing gland, gate, and yoke. The heavy-duty cast body resists deflection from line loads and internal pressure. It is tested to withstand up to 150 PSI of pressure as required by MSS SP-81 and ASME B16.5 Class 150 specifications. We offer seating options such as an o-ring resilient insert, or hard-face surfacing to prevent galling from high cycle, high end pressure, and abrasive applications.Also standard is a precision machined stainless steel gate designed to withstand pressures up to 150 PSI. It’s beveled design provides shut-off capability in thick media such as pulp stock, slurries, and solids such as pellets or powders. The stainless steel stem resists corrosion, and is accompanied by a stainless steel stemnut retainer that protects the brass stem bushing from harsh environments, and reduces operating torque. Converting the heavy-duty yoke from the handwheel operator to cylinder, bevel gear, or electric motor is easy and requires no welding. Our Teflon Synthetic Packing is rated standard with a Ph range of 3-11, and temperature rating up to 500° F.

The Fabricast FV 150-SG is a metal slide gate valve featuring a fabricated steel body, packing gland, and yoke. It is designed and tested to conform with MSS SP-81, and ASME B16.5 Class 150 specifications. The heavy-duty body features stainless steel machined faces.It is designed to withstand up to 150 PSI of pressure as required by MSS SP-81. As also required by this standard, the stainless steel ground and machined gate is designed to withstand pressures up to 150 PSI.
The stainless steel stem resists corrosion, and is accompanied by a stainless steel stemnut retainer that protects the stem bushing from harsh environments, and reduces operating torque. Converting from the handwheel operator to cylinder, bevel gear, or electric motor is easy and requires no additional welding. Our Teflon Synthetic Packing is rated standard up to 500° F.

The Fabricast FV 150-PS is a resilient (rubber) seated, perimeter sealed, knife gate valve featuring a cast stainless steel body, packing gland, and yoke. It is designed and tested to conform with MSS SP-81, and ASME B16.5 Class 150 specifications.

The heavy-duty cast body features a full-port I.D. and machined faces. It is designed to withstand up to 150 PSI of pressure as required by MSS SP-81. As also required by this standard, the ground and machined stainless steel gate is designed to withstand pressures up to 150 PSI.

Our resilient/rubber seat provides a bi-directional, drip-tight seal across the gate for any pressure up to 150 PSI. It is flush with the bottom of the valve, making replacement quick and easy, and eliminating pockets to provide a smooth transition for the pipeline media.

The Fabricast FV 150-DT is a cast knife gate valve featuring dual Teflon seat rings, stainless steel body, packing gland, and yoke. It is designed and tested to conform with MSS SP-81, and ASMI B 16.5 Class 150 Specifications. The heavy-duty cast body features machined faces. It is designed to withstand up to 150 PSI of pressure as required by MSS SP-81.

The retainer rings make changing the rings and converting the valve to a v-port type quick and easy. Our Teflon seat rings provide a bi-directional, drip-tight seal across the gate for any pressure up to 150 PSI. Like a butterfly valve, it uses a removable retaining ring and precompressed o-rings to provide a sealing pressure, positively securing the seats against the gate. The stainless steel stem resists corrosion, and is accompanies by a ball bearing yoke busing to reduce operating torque. (6″ and larger valves)

The Fabricast Floating Disk Check Valve is specially designed for horizontal or vertical installation.  It features a precision machined “floating” disk mounted on two socket-type hinges.  These hinges provide the critical alignment with the face of the valve seat.

The Fabricast FV 150-SC is a metal seated swing check valve featuring a cast stainless steel (CF8M) body, gate, cover, and yoke. The heavy-duty cast body features machined faces and flanges matching MSS SP-81 / ASME B16.5 Class 150 specifications. It is designed and tested to withstand up to 150 PSI of pressure as required by these specifications. Our precision machined disc & seat provides a tight shut-off in reverse flow directions.

This valve may be installed in either vertical or horizontal orientations. The bolted inspection cover provides easy access for maintenance. We stock sizes from 1” to 8”, other sizes are available upon request. Other alloys are also available for this product.

Fabricast ValveThe 15-foot tall valve above is one of the largest Fabricast has built to date.  At 72 inches in diameter, the stainless steel valve opening is taller than Jon Hansen from Fabricast and requires 850 turns of the wheel to fully open, he said. SpaceX will use the valve as part of a cooling system for the ground pad where it tests its Falcon 9 rockets in McGregor, Texas, Hansen said.
About a half dozen of Fabricast’s 20 workers have been on the SpaceX job for the past eight weeks, Hansen said. The company expects to ship the valve later this month, he said.California-based SpaceX was formed in 2003 and has become a leader in the space-travel business since NASA decided to end its 30-year-old space shuttle program last year.
